The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), with more than 61,000 laboratory, translational, and clinical researchers; population scientists; other health care professionals; and patient advocates residing in 143 countries and territories around the world, is the first and largest organization in the world dedicated to advances in all areas of high-quality, innovative cancer research. Its mission is to prevent and cure all cancers. The programs and activities of the AACR foster the exchange of new knowledge among scientists and physicians in cancer research as well as in related sciences. The AACR publishes ten peer-reviewed scientific journals and an award-winning magazine for cancer patients and their loved ones; convenes topical scientific conferences and an annual meeting that draws more than 22,500 participants; offers educational workshops that train young investigators in a variety of scientific and clinical areas; funds research fellowships, career development awards, and research grants for both senior and junior investigators; raises public awareness of the progress in the biology, detection, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer; engages actively in advocacy for increased federal research funding and other national policies that accelerate progress against cancer; and interacts with regulatory agencies to support regulatory science and policy.
The Enterprise Platform Services and Data Management Team oversees the software and processes that facilitate the connection and collaboration of the organization’s more than 61,000 members at the forefront of cancer research. We manage the enterprise Customer Relationship Management (eCRM) solution along with its related systems and customizations that support our Membership, Event Registration, and other business processes. In addition, we are standing up the organization’s Master Data Management (MDM) solution, as well as its enterprise Data Warehouse (DW). Our group is also responsible for the AACR IT Help Desk and is in the process of building out a more robust customer service offering, for internal and external constituents.
The Manager, Data Analytics is primarily responsible for empowering users with data across the institution, providing a unique blend of business, technical, and analytical expertise. The team combines business knowledge with data and technology to empower decision-makers and believes that user-friendly, self-service, embedded analytics products can improve stakeholder experience, optimize processes, and provide valuable information to decision makers.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Data Management, this role oversees the Data Analytics Team, supporting the AACR Central platform by delivering data insights aligned with Master Data Management (MDM), Data Warehouse (Snowflake), and enterprise integration initiatives.

At least two years working in analytics/business intelligence
Data Science experience developing forecasts, predictive models, and a strong understanding of statistics preferred
Extensive experience in data visualization tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc)
Experience in at least one computer programming language or analytical programming language (R, Python, SAS, etc) preferred
Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) principles and Snowflake as an enterprise Data Warehouse is preferred.
Knowledge of relational database structures
Experience with Salesforce Platform is preferred
Knowledge/Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies is preferred
Microsoft office suite proficiency
Education Requirements:
